1) LUH Walking Wednesdays Club - every Wednesday at 6:00 pm. Meet at the gazebo at Highland Park (corner of Ranch Road and Longwood Drive)

     We start with a light warm up, walk at your own pace for about 30 minutes and end with a light stretch. One of our providers and/or medical students from Dunes Family Health Care will be heading the walk.

     It is a great opportunity to ask health related questions from the providers. In addition, they will share health related tips. Enter to win prizes. 

2)  Monthly Free Education

      Join us on Friday, August 31st at 12 noon for this month's Lunch & Learn. Dr. Lanita Witt, urogynecologist, will be discussing urinary incontinence and treatment options available for both men and women.  

      Dr. Witt provides surgical and non-surgical services at Reedsport Medical Clinic and Lower Umpqua Hospital.

       In September, we are switching things up. Instead of the presentation being on the last Friday at noon, it will be on Thursday, Sept 27th at 5:30 pm. We will be hosting a Girls Party and kicking off an early celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness which takes place during the month of October. Liz Zdunich, Nurse Practitioner at Dunes Family Health Care, will be presenting on Breast Cancer 101. Wear Pink! Breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women, after skin cancer, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Learn about early detection. As a community, we can become a support system for each other.
